Jack Russsell Saved Five Children

If anyone has been following the news this week, I am sure you heard the story of George, the 9 year old Jack Russell who saved the lives of five children in New Zealand.

George fought off two pitbull terriers who went after the kids. See the picture of this lovely dog. When the two pitbulls started after the kids, aged 4 – 11, George tried to stop them by barking at them.

Soon the pitbulls started biting the poor dog and attempted to go after the kids. The kids luckily got away but George was bitten multiple times and barely survived the attack until bystanders ran over and halted the attack. The pitbulls ran off while George fought for his life on the way to the vetrinary clinic.

Due to the extent of George’s injuries, he had to be put down by his owner, Alan Gay, age 69. Alan was heartbroken after this horrible event, and will miss his beloved Jack Russell hero.
