Coworker Stories Coworker Stories(0)

Working in many places I have built up a long list of funny coworker stories. When taking breaks while at work, this is also always a hot topic. Stories of instances where you worked with people who did such crazy things that you didn’t believe. That is why I just started this new website, http://www.coworkerstories.com. It is an open forum for people to read and put down funny things that happened while working with others.

We wish her the best in her future modeling career.

Submit Aricle – Article Submission For Free Submit Aricle – Article Submission For Free(0)

Jan 6, 2006 Boca Raton, FL — Searching the internet we found many resources for free article submissions. Having articles that publicize your business are becoming the top new choice for SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

We researched many of these article submission websites and found that they are not necessarily always free as they state. They offer many so called ‘extras’ to have your article submitted more quickly. They also charge for positioning on their websites. In our book, this does not constitute FREE. Especially when the non free products provide close to nothing. The article gets submitted so deep in to the website that robots from these search engines do not oftentimes even index these pages.

Here are the sites that we can recommend for article submission:

1. OpenPressRoom.com – Yes this is the website where you are right now. We developed it based on using these so called free website. OpenPressRoom.com is free. We also offer the ability for you to enter your own Google Adsense id to make money on people visiting your article page.

2. PRWEB.com. Prweb is one of those websites that do charge extra. But, you do not have to pay them to still have your article submitted and show up in search engines.

3. Rexarticles.com. They are slow, but they do put your article up. Do not pay extra for any of their services as your article still does get submitted.

If you have any ideas for more pages or would like to make a comment to us regarding this article, please go to the CONTACT US page and let us know how you feel.

Thanks,

Todd

But
what outdoor convention would be complete without a Canoe give-away? Courtesy of River Ridge Custom Canoes, the
20th Annual Nashville Boat & Sportshow will giveaway one X-Stream River
Ridge Custom Canoe to a lucky event attendee.
The hulls are all hand-rolled and hand-laid fiberglass and matte
material. Special attention to detail
on this model includes single rod holders, canoe storage hoist, solar battery
charger, mahogany accessory tray, two coolers, umbrellas and mounts, tackle
box, car carry kit, aluminum paddles, anchor system and more for this $2,800
value. Just register while attending
the boat show – you will not have to be present at the drawing to win.

For
the competitive convention attendee, there is a chance to demonstrate your
skill at handling a high-speed, competition-class, remote controlled Sport
Fisherman model boat. From an actual
helm and at full throttle, steer the 4 foot, twin engine, remote controlled
Sport Fisherman down the 20 ft tank to the marina. As the boat passes through the channel markers toward the marina,
an electronic sensor will start the Timing Clock. You will enter the marina and back the boat into a fully
instrumented slip while the crowd watches and measures your skills against
theirs. Any contact with the slip
activates a penalty counter, confirming the crowd’s suspicions and giving you
penalty points. You then leave the slip
under full throttle and return through the channel markers to stop the Timing
Clock while the crowd cheers with approval. The computerized scoring system combines your elapse time and
penalty points, displaying your score against the standings for all
contestants.

Nashville is planning to host over 15,000 attendees to the Boat and
SportShow. Local business leaders are
preparing to receive visitors from all over the United States. A visit to historic Nashville, alone, is

How to Stop Smoking How to Stop Smoking(0)

If you are looking to quit smoking. There are many resources online that can provide help on quitting. This is an analysis of some methods and results published in studies:

Smoking Cessation. These are programs that assist in the cessation of smoking. I have found that the Universite of Wisconsin, Department of Medicine did a study that found that cessation programs worked on 23.6% of the people. Whereas, people that 47.5% who tried to quit on their own were able to quit.

Nicotine Replacement. St Bartholomew’s Hospital, Medical College, London performed a study of nicotine replacement. Their finding were that both gum and the patch are effective aids to help nicotine dependent smokers who seek help in stopping. Among the most highly nicotine dependent smokers (those craving a cigarette on waking) the 4 mg gum is the most effective form of replacement therapy; it could enable one third to stop. In less highly dependent smokers the different preparations are comparable in their efficacy but the patch offers greater convenience and minimal need for instruction in its use. Overall, nicotine replacement therapy could enable about 15% of smokers who seek help in stopping smoking to give up the habit. New website evaluates Hotels with free breakfast New website evaluates Hotels with free breakfast(0)

Next time you think about booking a hotel, make sure you’re getting a complimentary breakfast. Not only that, make sure the breakfast includes more than a box of stale donuts and burnt coffee. A new website Free Breakfast Hotels was launched this month is taking all the legwork out of finding out just what kind of breakfast hotels are offering.
So far they have researched over 200 hotels and painstakingly annoted all the breakfast items. According to an industry specialist, some of the information is not even available to the corporate offices of many of these hotels. This is what makes the service so unique and valueable.
The company was started by two internet entrepeneurs who have been personally collecting the information about the meals.
“I try to be as thourough as thorough as possible, collecting the exact items included in the breakfast, what the hours are and even if they have other services such as free shuttles. Many times I come up with really unique deals like a hotel with their own breakfast chef! This adds real value to the data.”

The company expects to be done collecting all the breakfast information from more than 55 thousand hotels by mid-2006.

Beware of Tax Reassessments for upgrades Beware of Tax Reassessments for upgrades(0)

For those homeowners who have decided to put in upgrades to your homes, I warn you to beware. With the recent home value increase, you could unwittenly get yourself in some large tax problems.

I recently put in a swimming pool on my property in South Florida. I did not find out until later that my home, which was homesteaded, now had an almost double in my tax bill. I have literally screwed myself for putting in a pool.

After purchasing our home prior to the recent rise in real estate, the state of Florida allows home owners to put in for a homestead exemption. This means that if you live in your house, the most the city can raise your property taxes is 3% a year.

My assessed home value was $185,000 dollars. I now put in a pool for $30,000. I realized that I would have an increase in my home value $30,000 for the upgrade. What I did not know was that this opened the door for the city to completely reassess my entire home value! What this means is that my house now is assessed for $380,000. This is the cost of the house being assessed at current values and the pool.

This is completely wrong and should be looked at again. My taxes have now almost doubled. What homeowner can afford this?
