If any of you have been wondering what happened to the King of Hidden Cameras, Chris Hansen, he is back. We at Open Press Room had thought NBC had written Chris off after he had two separate elicit affairs with women while he himself is married with children. Isn’t NBC a ‘family channel?’

Today the infamous Chris has come out of hiding to report an investigation in to day care center owners and employees having criminal records.

According to our investigation we found that there are only 11 states in the US that require criminal background check on day care workers. That is wrong. Maybe Chris is on to something. We did find a website ChildHomeDayCare.com that does report whether day care centers perform criminal background checks, but that is all we found online.

Hopefully this expose will guilt these 39 states that they need to update their laws.

Keep up the good work Chris Hansen, but I think you should stay away from the day care centers yourself. I wouldn’t want you near my kids.

One of my favorite vehicles of all time is the Land Rover Defender. Defenders have not been sold in the US since 1997.

Through my investigation, I have found it was due to two issues. The first is airbags and side impact doors. Due to a lack of airbags and side impact door tests, they are not sold here. The other issue is that they were not selling too well here in the US.

I recently called two Land Rover dealerships. One here in the US and the other in the UK. Both spoke of the recent news, unreported as of yet, that Land Rover would be selling Defenders in the US again within 3 years. If you are considering buying one of the few older Defenders for sale at the exorbitant prices, we think you should hold out and wait. I have added some pictures and videso of the 2012 Defender 90 and 110.

There is a new political advertisement where Mitt Romney talks about some of his top accomplishments.

During the commercial Romney mentions how he “saved the Olympics.” The way he makes his pronouncement sounds like an arrogant way to state this fact. Shouldn’t he have been a little more contrite. Maybe saying, “I was brought in to help bring the Olympics to the US.” This sounds much more preferable than stating he “saved the Olympics.”

I figured I would investigate the issue in general of him saving the Olympics.

The Olympics Romney was speaking of was the Salt Lake City Olympics in 2002. After the September 11th attack in 2001, there were a lot of issues including financial that started talks about the possible cancellation of the Olympics.

The thought of cancellation of the Olympics was halted after the Governor of Utah, Mike Leavitt, flew out to Washington and met with President Bush.

Romney was the head of the Salt Lake Olympics organizing committee, but how he personally ‘saved’ these Olympics seems like political rhetoric.

We all know that Mitt Romney is very wealthy. We know he was a ‘businessman’ who worked at Bain Capital. The question remains is how did he accumulate this kind of wealth while working anywhere? How?

Bain & Company, a management consulting firm, hired Mitt in 1977 at the age of 30. After one year, Mitt was made a vice president. Vice president at 31, after 1 year. Then in 1984 Romney went to the spin off Bain Capital. Bain Capital was a venture capital firm. Venture Capital firms invest in new companies providing needed capital. Staples Inc was one of Bains first successes.

Bain Capital later morphed in to leverage buyouts. Leveraged buyout firms acquire controlling interests in a company’s equity where a significant percentage of the purchase price is financed through leverage borrowing. After buying these firms, Bain Capital would soon sell them.

Romney reaped so much money through this buying and selling of companies to make himself a multimillionaire.

Did Mitt (real first name Willard) earn his money? Yes, he did. De he take an inordinate amount of money for someone who just finagled with the bottom line of buying and selling a company? Yes.

My question is why did someone who really did not contribute anything to the bottom line of any of these companies make so much money? Why did someone who never spent one minute working on a real product get rich? Romney did not create any product. Mitt just worked for a company that figured out how to buy a company that needed money on the cheap. Then, not long after, sell the company for more than they paid for it.

Mitt Romney good businessman? Maybe. Good salesman. Definitely. Is that what the US needs? Another good salesman?

Compared to smoking cigarettes, marijuana has been found to not cause long term or permanent damage to the functionality or health of the lungs. The study was conducted by following approximately 5,000 test subjects who smoked marijuana equivalent to a joint per day over a period of seven years. The subjects performed a breathing test to provide results as to the effects of marijuana on lung function.

While this study indicates that marijuana does not cause lung damage or conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease -C.O.P.D. for short,- the drug can still have effects on memory and learning as well as irritate the airways. It is not completely clear as to whether or not the effects marijuana has on memory and learning are long term or permanent, but its notoriety to cause coughing and irritated airways is figured to be temporary, meaning the symptoms will likely recede once a user quits smoking marijuana. It remains unclear as to how exactly marijuana does not cause lung damage, but it is assumed that its prime ingredient, THC, may be a factor due to its slight anti-inflammatory effects.

Whether you will damage the rest of your life, we can’t say.

At age 49, Jim Carrey does not seem to have any problems finding love. After he and Jenny McCarthy broke up in April 2010, Carrey remained single until January 2011 when finally stepped out with 23 year old America’s Next Top Model beauty Anchal Joseph. The two were spotted in New York City on what seemed to be a big date night out. The relationship was not long lived though which led many to believe that it was just a rebound relationship for Carrey.

Now, Carrey has been spotted around town with a blonde beauty who had not been identified until now and seems to be over his awkward crush on actress Emma Stone. Carrey’s new love is Russian Anastasia Vitkina. Carrey and Vitkina were first spotted together in October on a cozy dinner date and most recently in Los Angeles at a Guns and Roses show. Not much is known about Vitkina, but she is rumored to be a student at New York Univeristy and the ex of David Schoonmaker. She makes the effort to see Carrey as she has been spotted flying back and forth between LA and NYC. Her age is unknown, but she is thought to be considerably younger than Carrey.

The latest season of Burn Notice has just ended. This has been one of my favorite TV Shows for a few years now. USA Network has done a fantastic job of bringing back a Miami Vice esque version of a shoot em up in Miami Beach.

This series was fun for years but this series is starting to get drawn out and plain dull. Each episode is so predicable that this is no longer fun. They take in a ‘new client’ to help every episode along with working on getting Michael (Jeffrey Donovan) out of trouble and/or back in the CIA.

Unless they change this format this series should be canceled. Enough of the ‘helping out’ this weekly ‘new client’ who seemingly is in big trouble from drug lords, gang members, etc. They do the same thing every week by setting them up and getting the police to swoop in and lock them up forever.

Sorry Michael, it is time for you to go.
